The xDrive40i M Sport petrol variant of the 2023 BMW X7 SUV has a starting price of Rs 1.22 crore while the xDrive40d M Sport diesel variant has a starting price of Rs 1.24 crore. The 2023 X7 will be built locally at BMW’s Chennai plant.
Talking about the design, the exterior of the X7 has a large kidney grille and split LED headlight unit, which makes it look very different from the previous version. A new central air intake has been incorporated in the lower part of the bumper. At the rear, there are new 3D taillights that incorporate interior graphics. A chrome connection garnish has been incorporated in the middle of these taillights.
Inside, the 2023 X7 gets BMW’s curved glass display for instrumentation and infotainment. On this occasion the company has added an ambient light strip on the dashboard of the new model, which is equipped with 14 color options. The air vents and the gear lever have also been redesigned. The seats include advanced and luxury features such as massagers, ventilation. It also has a 16-speaker Harman Kardon sound system. The car has a trunk of up to 120 liters. The tailgate has a split design, making it easy to open.
The 2023 BMW X7 xDrive40i M Sport is powered by a 3-liter inline 6-cylinder gasoline engine, generating 381 hp and 520 Nm of peak torque. On the other hand, the xDrive40d M Sport incorporates BMW’s 3-liter inline 6-cylinder diesel engine, which is capable of generating 340PS and 700Nm of peak torque. Both engines are mated to a 48V mild hybrid system for better efficiency. Both engines feature BMW’s twin-turbo technology and an 8-speed Steptronic transmission with 4 drive modes.
