ACB Trap | ACB seizes Rs 15 lakh from neighbor, Khode’s custody extended till 8th April

Nagpur. The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) team seized Rs 15 lakh from neighbor of Dilip Wamanrao Khode (50), who was caught for accepting a Rs 25 lakh bribe from an RTO official on behalf of a Congressional MLA. After the pre-trial detention ended on Saturday, the ACB took Khode back to court. The court has extended custody of him until April 8.

After being caught in the bribery case, the ACB team searched the house in Yavatmal. Apart from this, Khode also has a flat in the Hiranandani Midas Society of Thane. At first, not much happened, but upon investigation it was discovered that Khode’s family had kept a large amount of money at the neighbor’s house. As soon as the information about Khoda’s arrest was received, the family members kept Rs 15 lakh in the house almirah at the neighbor’s house. Saying that we were going to town, we were asked to keep the money safe. Along with the confiscation of the amount, the ACB is also recording the statements of the residents.

Retired RTO officers will be questioned

In this case, 2 RTO retirees are also on ACB’s radar. Initially Khode is said to have constantly communicated with the RTO officer over the phone. After the demand for money, the RTO officer started ignoring him. Following this, 2 retired RTO officers contacted the complainant. He lobbied to talk to Khode. One of these two officers was working in Nagpur.

Before retiring, he has also entered the radar of the Central Investigation Agency. The statements of both will also be recorded. He will soon be called to the ACB office. In this case, Khoda’s accomplice Chandrashekhar Bhoyar has yet to be caught by the CBA. Bhoyar’s role was also revealed in the preliminary investigation itself, but Bhoyar was not present at the time of the set-up.
