Aurangabad. Shiv Sena (Uddhav Thackeray’s faction) leader Ambadas Danve writes to the Maharashtra Police Director General to take serious note of “failures” in security during a public meeting of the MLA Aditya Thackeray party in Aurangabad district Is Thackeray had arrived in the Mahalgaon area on Tuesday night to address a public meeting.
The leader of the opposition in the Maharashtra Legislative Council, Danve, claimed that stones were thrown at the public meeting and the MLA car. Danve claimed that this was an “attempt to incite discord between the Hindu and Dalit communities” and demanded that action be taken against the police officers for failing to provide adequate security for the Thackeray event.
District Police Superintendent Manish Kalwaniya, while denying stone throwing at the scene, said there were only chants between the two groups. After the public meeting, Danve wrote a letter to the Maharashtra Police Director General, Rajneesh Seth, mentioning the incident and stating that there was “unforgivable negligence” in security. Danve has demanded that this neglect be taken seriously.
