The Bharatiya Janata Party has started the ‘Sufi Samvad’ program to reach out to the Muslim community. Facing the 2024 general elections, this responsibility has been entrusted to the party’s minority front.

According to The Hindu newspaper, for this the BJP has formed a team of 150 apolitical people.

According to the newspaper, BJP Minority Front Chairman Jamal Siddiqui said this was done on the instructions of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to reach out to the Sufi community who advocate peace and harmony.

According to the newspaper, the programme’s media coordinator, Yasir Jilani, said that people working at Sufi shrines in 30 states have gathered at the BJP headquarters for Sufi dialogue.

He said the purpose of the program is to go among the Muslim community. With the help of this Sufi dialogue program, the Muslim community will be told that Narendra Modi’s government has worked for everyone, regardless of caste, creed or community.

According to the newspaper, different programs will be organized across the country under the Sufi dialogue. Most of the programs will be carried out keeping in mind those districts where the Muslim population is 20 percent or more.

States like Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Kerala, Bihar and Telangana will be included in the programme, while special attention will be given to districts like Saharanpur, Meerut, Rampur and Azamgarh in Uttar Pradesh.

Through Sufi dialogue, there is an exercise to publicize the schemes that the Narendra Modi government is running and its benefits among the Muslim community.
