The installation of 75 digital banking units in 75 districts has also been announced. Introducing the General Budget 2022-23, the Finance Minister also said that chip-based ePassports will be issued. She said a high-level committee for urban planning will be formed and the next phases of ease of doing business and ease of living will also start.

The Finance Minister took a big step regarding digital currency. He said that the Reserve Bank will soon issue a digital currency, which will be based on blockchain technology. It can be used in digital transactions in government services. However, not much has been said in the budget regarding the cryptocurrency tax. The bill in this regard is also pending with the government.

Not only this, the government also emphasized the digitization of the post office in this budget. The Finance Minister said in his budget speech that post offices will now be completely digital. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said that 100 percent of the 1.5 lakh post offices will be incorporated into the core banking system. Through this, accounts will be accessed through net banking, mobile banking, ATM. Apart from this, money can be transferred online between postal accounts and bank accounts.
