The People’s Bank of China has reportedly released gold and silver coins to commemorate the completion of the Tiangong Space Station. China’s space station is now operational. China is no longer dependent on the International Space Station (ISS). China has stayed out of the International Space Station since 2011. Through the China Tiangong Space Station, China will now be able to show its dominance in space like America, Russia and Europe.
China had planned to build the Tiangong Space Station many years ago. Last year China released the core module and added two labs with it. After this, the construction of the Tiangong Space Station was completed. However, in the coins that China has released, the 3 gram gold coin shows Tiangong.
The silver coin released by the Chinese bank depicts two tycoons working out of the Chinese space station. Unlike the gold coin, the silver coin is a bit colorful. The special thing is that the coins released by the Chinese bank are limited. Only 20,000 gold coins and 50,000 silver coins will be distributed.
These coins have the same frontal design, depicting the coins’ issue year as 2022 along with the emblem of the People’s Republic of China. China has chosen for the coins the year in which the construction of its space station was completed. These coins were made by the Shenzhen Guobao Mint Company Limited and China Gold Coin Corporation is doing the work of distributing them.
