Several projects under the BSUP Smart City, AMRUT scheme are underway in the Kalyan-Dombivali Municipal Corporation area and some of these projects have been completed. Kalyan’s Kala Talab has been embellished through the Smart City, renaming it Thackeray Lake. A large monument to chief Shiv Sena has been built on the banks of the lake and now the lake has a floating restaurant, attractive fountains, children’s play equipment and attractive painted walls.

1,265 beneficiaries will receive homes

Solving the problem of BSUP houses mired in controversy for many years, MP Dr Shrikant Shinde proposed to give vacant houses in this scheme to the victims of the project, this cleared the way for road victims who have been waiting for the house for 14 years. It’s done. On February 15, 1265 beneficiaries will receive houses in BSUP by the Chief Minister. The municipal administration has started construction of a sewage treatment plant to prevent polluted sewage from entering the river by processing sewage in the city through the AMRUT scheme.

Through the AMRUT scheme, the municipal administration has started construction work on a wastewater treatment plant to stop polluted wastewater entering the river by processing the city’s wastewater. This includes the Wadeghar and Ambivli sewer works with a capacity of 26 MLD. A 21 MLD capacity treatment center has been completed.
