Daily digital news desk: The death toll from the devastating earthquake in Turkey on Monday morning is rising by leaps and bounds. The death toll in Turkey (Turkey Earthquake) and neighboring Syria (Syria) has exceeded 1,200. The death toll is expected to rise as more people are trapped in the rubble. According to Syria, a total of 912 bodies have been recovered so far. At least 400 people died in Turkey. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has sent a message to support Turkey in this tragic natural disaster. He assured all aid to the affected country.
There is a dispute with Turkey over various parts of Syria. Eight people were reported dead shortly after the quake. Later, the Syrian government reported that 400 bodies have been recovered in the part under its control. Mainly Aleppo, Latakia, Hama and Tartus suffered the most damage. Syria’s health minister released the death toll in a statement. However, the extent of the damage in the disputed parts of the two countries is not known at all.

Sources initially reported 76 deaths in Turkey. After a long time, Turkey reported that 912 bodies were recovered. Several images of the disaster have spread on the Internet. From there it can be clearly understood that the number of deaths in the earthquake is increasing.
Several countries support Turkey in this desperate situation. Help has been secured from countries like the United States, Israel, Ukraine. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted his condolences to Turkey. He wrote to the President of Turkey: “I am saddened by the irreparable damage caused by the earthquake in Turkey. My condolences to the family of the deceased. I wish the injured a speedy recovery. India stands ready to support Turkey at this time of crisis and provide all assistance.” After an emergency meeting on Monday, the Center decided to send a rescue team of 100 people. Along with that, help will be sent on an urgent basis.
