Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has approved five projects with a total investment of Rs 6,994 crore in the state. These proposals were approved at the fourth meeting of the ‘Board of Investment’ at the Chief Minister’s residence on Saturday. Some 5,415 people are expected to gain employment from these projects, according to a statement. The statement quoted Gehlot as saying the state government is committed to establishing new industrial units in the state and increasing employment opportunities in the private sector.
He said that the state government has implemented several important policies and programs in the last four years to increase investment in the state. In Rajasthan, facilities are provided to investors through the MSME Policy, Rajasthan Investment Promotion Scheme, Rajasthan Industrial Development Policy and ‘One Stop Shop System’. He said that the recently launched ‘RIPS 2022’ has been highly appreciated by investors. Due to these policies, we continually receive offers from international companies. This will further strengthen industrial development.
Instructing the concerned departments, the Chief Minister said that by removing the obstacles that arise in investment, it should be ensured that the projects are started within a certain time frame. He entrusted the Principal Secretary to hold a meeting with the departmental officials for a detailed study of the proposals received. Projects by Wonder Cement Ltd., JK Cement Ltd., Fortelia Industries Pvt Ltd, Barwe Group and Maya Hill Resorts LLP were approved at the meeting.
