The company claims that a smart search feature has been included in this scooter so that the user can search for the scooter using the smart key. With this key, the user can lock and unlock the scooter without using the physical key. This key can start the scooter’s engine when it is within a radius of two meters. It also has an engine start and stop switch.
The Honda Activa H-Smart has a longer wheelbase, a new overtake switch, and a DC LED headlight. It will have 12-inch alloy wheels, telescopic front suspension and adjustable rear suspension. The company has also claimed that it makes the engine of this scooter more powerful than before. Its 110cc PGM-FI engine comes with Enhanced Smart Power (eSP) technology. The new Activa will compete with already existing scooters like TVS Jupiter and Hero Maestro on the market.
The H-Smart technology present in this scooter will include an anti-theft system. The company already offers the Honda Ignition Security System on the premium versions of its scooters. These were the lowest December retail sales in the past three years. Last year this figure was 12,75,894 units. Reasons for this decline include reasons like rising inflation and slowdown. Hero MotoCorp December sales decreased by 1,13,634 units to 3,30,175 units. The company had sold 4,43,809 units in December last year. Hero MotoCorp’s market share decreased from 34.78 percent to 29.14 percent. The increase in sales of electric two-wheelers in recent months has also had an impact on the market.
