IIT student Guwahati got a salary package of Rs 2.4 crore, Amazon and Google gave maximum jobs

In the recently concluded placement session at the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati (IIT Guwahati), the companies offered a package of up to Rs 2.4 crore. The first phase of college placement for 2022-23 has ended in which giant tech companies like Amazon, Google, Microsoft participated. The average package offered by companies in the IT and Engineering branch this time is Rs 41 lakh while last year it was Rs 28 lakh.

The placement campaign started in various IIT colleges across the country in December, of which the Guwahati IIT College has announced the end of the first phase of their placements. According to a Business Today report, the maximum annual package offered by companies in the institute is Rs 2.4 crore. This time, giant companies like Amazon, Google and Microsoft participated in the placement campaign. The Computer Science Engineering branch of the university has the highest and best packages offered.

In this placement session, Computer Science Engineering branch got an average package of Rs 41 lakh. In this branch, companies have also offered an annual package of Rs 2.4 crore. On the part of the institute, it has been said that the students of the Computer Engineering branch have been hired not only in this field, but also in banking and design.

Big company names like Apple, Cisco, Accenture, IBM were also included in the placement campaign. A large number of students were also recruited in boosting investment banks and the financial sector. This included names like BNY Melon, Goldman Sachs, Bank of America, American Express, and Square Point. Apart from this, Reliance, Bajaj, Axis Bank and ICICI Bank were also listed in the Indian companies. In addition, companies such as Rubik, Infernia, Cohesity, Thoughtpost, AlphaGrape, Rakuten, Shimizu and Samsung also participated in this practical session. Earlier, job offers of more than Rs 1 crore were also offered to students at IIT Kanpur.
