New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the ‘Jaipur Mahakhel’ participants via video conference on Sunday. The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) said Rural Jaipur Lok Sabha MP and former Union Minister Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore has been organizing this program continuously since 2017 in the Rajasthan capital.
The ‘Jaipur Mahakhel’, which this year focuses on Kabaddi competition, kicked off on National Youth Day on January 12. It has seen the participation of more than 6,400 youth and sportsmen from more than 450 panchayats, townships and districts from the eight assembly constituencies under Rural Jaipur.

The PMO said: “Mahakhel provides an opportunity for the youth of Jaipur to showcase their sporting talent. He also motivates them to take up the sport as a career option. Let us tell you that there are many government schemes going on to promote the sport. During the past few years, there has been a lot of popularity regarding the game of Kabaddi. Just like cricket, you see a lot of enthusiasm for Kabaddi.
