JioBook Price: Jio’s laptop at the price of a smartphone, listed on this website for Rs 19,500

The wait for Reliance Jio’s cheap JioBook laptop is over. It was shown at the India Mobile Congress 2022 on Monday. It has now also been put up for sale on a website. Jio Laptop is sold through a government website. Its price has been quoted at Rs 19,500. Gadgets 360 Hindi told you yesterday that the JioBook laptop will be embedded with a 4G SIM card. Starting this month, it will be available to clients such as schools and government institutions. It will be available to general consumers in the next three months.

JioBook laptop is listed on mkp.gem.gov.in. According to the information, at the moment this laptop has been put up for sale for people related to government departments and educational institutions. It has been listed for Rs.19500. There are also 10 pieces of this available for sale. There is no information about the sale of this laptop on the Jio website.

The JioBook laptop specifications have already surfaced. It will run on the JioOS operating system. Some of the Microsoft applications will also be available on it. It will be equipped with Qualcomm processor based on Arm Limited technology. Because this laptop will be running on the JioOS operating system, users will not be able to get the Windows experience. However, in terms of use case, it can meet people’s urgent needs. For example, tasks related to web browsing, email, etc. can be easily completed.

The biggest challenge JioBook will face will be building its user base as Windows laptops dominate the market and users are friendly towards them. We have seen that Google Chrome Books have also tried to create their own marketplace, but have not been successful on a large scale. The GeoBook’s biggest strength may be its price. The offer of a laptop for Rs 15,000 can attract people towards it. This can be a great gift for students.

India’s laptop market may expand by up to 15 percent after the launch of JioBook. According to a Reuters report, the JioBook will be manufactured locally and the company aims to sell thousands of units by March.
