welfare : The tenants of the gaals (shops) leased at KDMC’s Acharya Atre Natya complex in Kalyan had not paid their arrears for several years. Despite repeated instructions from the property department to pay rent, such tenants were reluctant to pay their rent arrears.
In accordance with the orders of Municipal Commissioner Dr. Bhausaheb Dangde, under the direction of Deputy Commissioner of Property Department Vandana Gulbe, the team of Deputy Engineer Seema Athawale, Superintendent Bhagaji Bhangre, steps were taken to seal 9 commercial stores out of 9 defaulters with outstanding amount of 52,49,433. Property Department Deputy Commissioner Vandana Gulve said strict action will be taken against landlords affected by non-payment of rent, including arrears for parcels owned by the Municipal Corporation.

Similarly, the property department calls on Municipal Corporation store/stall owners to cooperate with the Municipal Corporation by depositing store/stall rent arrears immediately. Apart from this, the owner of the property Vithabai Motiram Mhatre at 7/H Ward John 11 worth Rs 44,73,300 and a commercial hotel situated in the building of said property was sealed. Said property has been sealed for fees. Builder Bhavin R at H John 11 only. Due to Rs 26,04,086 being owed to Patel, the office of the said builder was sealed.
