According to Logitech President and CEO Bracken Darrell, there are several reasons behind the slowdown in business. As of March 2022, Logitech had 8,200 employees. The company has also cut its outlook for the year.
“Unfortunately, many of our employees have been affected by the changes,” a company spokesperson said in the report. Logitech’s revenue is projected to fall to $1.3 billion in the third quarter of fiscal 2023, down 22 percent from a year ago.
Huge decline in gadget sales
The company said in January this year: “This performance reflects the challenging macroeconomic environment. Games sales decreased 16% and video segment product sales decreased 21% compared to the third quarter of last year. keyboard and combo sales decreased 22 percent and pointing device sales decreased 14 percent “This reflects consumer purchases focused on promotional weeks and lower business and consumer spending throughout the quarter,” the company said.
