The OnePlus Bullets Wireless Z2 price in India is Rs 1,999 which is not very expensive but still packs a lot of good features and functions at this price. The company has released them as the successors to the OnePlus Bullets Wireless Z. In appearance, they are similar to the previous model, but they come with some differences. Are these headphones the best wireless neckband headphones under Rs 2000? Find out in this review.

great drivers
The design looks familiar, just like the Bullets Wireless 2 and Bullets Wireless Z before it. If you’ve used OnePlus headphones before, you can easily recognize the brand by the new model’s flexible neckband, the familiar shape of the earpiece, and the short cord that runs from the end of the neckband to the earpiece.
As mentioned above, there is also some difference. As such, you’ll notice the lack of an in-line remote and microphone. Volume, playback, voice assistant activation and pairing buttons are now installed on the left module of the neckband. The olives are also a bit small. I found its fit and user experience to be very similar to the previous model, including its comfortable fit, level of noise isolation, which was pretty decent. It is IP55 rated for dust and water resistance.
The inner side of the left module houses the USB Type-C port for charging, while the right module has been left blank for the company logo. Like the older models, they can be turned on or off by removing or snapping the ear cups together, which are held in place by magnets. For this reason, they can sometimes be activated accidentally, such as when placed in a bag or backpack. It takes a little tugging to separate them.

Large 12.4mm dynamic drivers have been provided in the OnePlus Bullets Wireless Z2. For wireless connectivity, you get Bluetooth 5 with support for SBC and AAC Bluetooth codecs. They quickly pair with the OnePlus 6T and subsequent OnePlus smartphones. Quick Switch feature was provided on Bullets Wireless Z, so that you could quickly switch between 2 recently used devices, it is no longer provided on Bullets Wireless Z2. In the sales package, you get three pairs of silicone eartips that come in different sizes. A short charging cable is also available.
OnePlus Bullets Wireless Z2 also has a fast charging feature. It has been claimed that in ten minutes of charging it reaches 70 percent of the battery level. This amount of battery will be enough for about 20 hours of playback. I found that the headphones took 20 minutes to fully charge. Due to this, they become the fastest charging headphones today.

The OnePlus Bullets Wireless Z2 is claimed to provide 30 hours of backup on a single charge, but with me it managed to last 20 hours at 60 percent volume. This would still be considered a good backup time. They prove to be more useful with fast charging.
more basic than before
The handheld’s 12.4mm drivers make a world of difference. This has improved the sound quality. In particular, there have been many changes to the sonic signature. The Bullets Wireless Z2 now sounds a bit punchier, and the level of clarity and detail has been balanced, as the company introduced in the Bullets Wireless Z in 2020.
One of the big advantages of the larger drivers is the volume level, as the sound gets quite loud at 50 percent volume. This means that I rarely had to go above the 80 percent volume level, which is well within the tolerance of many wireless headphones.
If you listen to them in a noisy environment, they are beneficial. With this, they also make up for the lack of active noise cancellation. On the Realme Buds Wireless 2, this feature is available by spending a little more money. Inside, I didn’t have to turn the volume up much. But, it easily provided a good sound experience by suppressing external noises outside. I enjoyed listening to audiobooks and playing games through the headphones on the go.
As I listened to Velvetine’s The Great Divide, the aggressive sonic signature of the OnePlus Bullets Wireless Z2 was immediately apparent. The fast, hard-hitting beats of this soundtrack sound quite powerful. Interestingly, the bass felt deeper and grounded on this one. However, at higher volumes it also caused slight fatigue.

I also heard Focus’s Hocus Pocus on this, which showed the device in full control of the bass. It was evident from how well the mid and high ranges held up on the OnePlus Bullets Wireless Z2. I liked the level of details. Elements of the track sounded pretty crisp.
Connectivity on the OnePlus Bullets Wireless Z2 was stable and reliable for me. It worked perfectly up to a distance of 3 meters from the source device. Their call quality also proved to be very good in both indoor and outdoor conditions. The neckband microphone worked well even in noisy environments.
Verdict
Wireless audio technology is constantly improving. This means that now even in the price range of 2 thousand or less, you can get a better sounding product that was not possible until a few years ago. The OnePlus Bullets Wireless Z2 offers better value for money at this price, but it doesn’t impress as much in this segment as the original Bullets Wireless Z did in 2020. These are good earbuds that offer great features like fast charging, good battery life battery at this price. But, here the perception of the price by the client will also depend on the offer he chooses.
Realme Buds Wireless 2 can be seen spending a little more money, which is an excellent earphone. It has a Bluetooth LDAC codec and active noise cancellation. Still, if you are a OnePlus fan and looking for something reliable that has good battery life, fast charging and strong bass sound, then you can go for the OnePlus Bullets Wireless Z2.
