Khan has announced the launch of the agitation against the federal government over the in-custody torture of party leaders and the delay in announcing new general elections. The former prime minister made the call during his televised address from his Zaman Park residence on Saturday.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Saturday ordered his workers and supporters to prepare party leaders for ‘Bharo Tehreek jail’ against the federal government. Khan has announced the launch of the agitation against the federal government over the in-custody torture of party leaders and the delay in announcing new general elections. The former prime minister made the call during his televised speech from his Zaman Park residence on Saturday.

Khan’s statement came days after a sedition case was filed against the party’s senior vice president, Fawad Chaudhary, and former National Assembly member Shandana Gulzar. “I ask people to prepare and wait for my call for ‘Bharo Tehreek Jail’,” Khan said. Pakistani jails will not have enough space to hold them all.” He said that if the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N)-led government and its masters in the military establishment feel that “we will end torture and detention… I will be afraid of punishment, then they are completely wrong.
