Pathan becomes Shah Rukh Khan’s grossest Rs 300 crore

Bollywood, which has been facing difficulties in recent years, has been a relief with the stupendous success of Pathan. It is set to become Shah Rukh Khan’s grossest Rs 300 crore. It grossed Rs 60 crore on Sunday, the fifth day of its release. Earlier, Dangal took 13 days to reach Rs 300 crore, Baahubali 2 took 10 days and KGF 2 took 11 days. Pathan may also become the highest grossing film on its first Monday of release.

This film is liking a lot both in the country and abroad. Bollywood Hungama reports that it has grossed around $25.4 million overseas. Pathan had crossed the Rs 500 crore mark from global collections on Sunday. Apart from Shah Rukh, John Abraham and Deepika Padukone have leading roles in this film.

It is produced by Yash Raj Films and directed by Siddharth Anand. It was released on January 25. It is shown on around 8,000 screens at home and abroad. As for the early booking, Pathan had left all the great movies of the previous year behind him. The craze of his First Day First Show was such that the exhibitors of the film were forced to make a big decision. After the first show, the exhibitors had decided to expand Pathan to 300 shows. It is said to be the biggest opening movie ever. It has also left behind the KGF Collection: Chapter 2 released in Hindi. The film grossed around 54 crores on the opening day.

Mumbai’s Maratha Mandir theater has decided to screen Pathan along with another hit film by Shah Rukh ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’ which is over two decades old. Manoj Desai, chief executive of the Maratha Mandir Theatre, said, “Such enthusiasm has been seen after many years.” Desai, who is also the CEO of G7 Multiplex in Mumbai, said, “The film will be shown in two halls with a capacity of 1,000 seats each at G7 Multiplex. My other hall, Maratha Mandir, only has Shah Rukh’s film. it will take Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge years”. Since then, Pathan will also be shown in the theater.”
