Bollywood, which has been waiting for a big hit for the past few years, has taken over from Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathan. Shahrukh’s return to the big screen after almost four years has received a warm welcome from his fans. Pathan is continually making records at the box office. The film came close to grossing Rs 300 crore on its fifth day of release.

According to an initial estimate, its collection in the country is 282 million rupees. If the audience continues to come to see the film, it could become the first Hindi film to gross over Rs 300 crore in its opening weekend. His worldwide collection is around Rs 430 crore. The film also stars Deepika Padukone, John Abraham, and Dimple Kapadia in major roles. It is produced by Yash Raj Films and directed by Siddharth Anand. It was released on January 25. As for the early booking, Pathan had left all the great movies of the previous year behind him. The craze of his First Day First Show was such that the exhibitors of the film were forced to make a big decision. After the first show, the exhibitors had decided to expand Pathan to 300 shows. It is said to be the biggest opening movie ever. It has also left behind the KGF Collection: Chapter 2 released in Hindi. That film grossed around 54 crores on the opening day.

Mumbai’s Maratha Mandir Theater has decided to screen the film alongside another successful Shah Rukh film ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’ which is over two decades old. Manoj Desai, chief executive of the Maratha Mandir Theatre, said, “Such enthusiasm has been seen after many years.” Desai, who is also the CEO of G7 Multiplex in Mumbai, said, “The film is running in two theaters with a capacity of 1000 seats each at G7 Multiplex. It has had a very good weekend gross. In my other room, Maratha Mandir, only Shah Rukh’s film has been released. The film is there. Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge has been playing for years and now Pathan will also play in theaters.”
