The Court of Sessions convicted the accused of raping a 16-year-old girl and a 9-year-old girl registered in Jaripatka and Ajni police station areas and sentenced them to 20-20 years in prison. Jaripatka Police had registered a rape case against Amar Mannulal Gaur (28), a resident of Yogi Arvind Nagar. The 16-year-old victim who lives in the area of ​​the police station was studying in 2018. Amar, who treated the herbs, took him away in his trap. He took it to Ramtek under the pretense of taking it 2-3 times. He raped her in the hostel there. Relatives suspected the girl’s activities.
During the interrogation, she reported Amar’s rape. On March 20, 2018, Amar was arrested after filing a case under the Rape Act and POCSO. The then API Bhimrao Patil investigated the case and filed a charge sheet in court. Judge OP Jaiswal of the POCSO special court heard the case. Prosecutor Shyam managed to openly prove the allegations. The court convicted Amar under the POCSO Act and sentenced him to 20 years in prison. As lobbying officer, ASI Rajesh Sakhare handled the job.
9 year old girl raped
The second case is from the Ajni police station area. The convicted defendant was identified as Suraj Raju Gaikwad (30), a resident of Bajrangnagar. The incident took place between March 5, 2018 and April 1, 2018. The victim and Suraj lived in the same area. Seeing the victim home alone, Sooraj raped her. He threatened to kill someone for saying something.
The girl told her mother about her misdeeds and a complaint was made to the police. Then-Assistant Inspector Nisha Bhute investigated and filed a charge sheet in court. Prosecutor Sheikh managed to prove the charges. The court convicted Amar and sentenced him to 20 years in prison. Agents Surendra Lavhale and Kirti Phukat handled the job as lobbyists.
