Realme 6i First impressions in Hindi, how much power in Realme 6i? at first sight…

Realme has become a very aggressive company in the Indian market of late. The company has released various smartphone models in different price segments. The Realme Narzo 10 series and the Realme C series have been introduced for the sub-Rs 12,000 price segment, while the Realme 6 series phones are in the Rs 15,000 to Rs 20,000 price range. There is a part left between the two segments for which Realme 6i has been brought. Before the launch of the phone, I had the chance to spend some time with the Realme 6i. At first glance, this smartphone seemed like something to me.

Realme 6 was launched earlier this year. Its price and performance impressed me a lot. But its ‘value for money’ tag didn’t last long. Because the prices of the phones increased after the GST rates were changed. Now the company’s new offering Realme 6i is very reminiscent of the old Realme 6 price. Realme 6i can be considered as a slightly weaker version of Realme 6 (Review). There are also many similarities between the two.

The design of the Realme 6i is very similar to the Realme 6. The physical dimensions of both the phones are the same. But you will never get confused between the two phones. The Realme 6i only comes in single-tone finishes known as Lunar White and Eclipse Black. There are many stripes on the back. But they are only visible when the light is bounced off at the correct angle. I got the Eclipse Black drive which is prone to fingerprints. Realme has used a matte finish on the frame which gives a great hand feeling.

Both smartphones have a 6.5-inch screen. The funny thing is that even in budget terminals, the company has given a refresh rate of 90 Hz. This feature alone makes Realme 6i stand out from the crowd. The selfie camera has a place at the top left of the screen. On this, the company has used Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection.

The Realme 6i also has a fingerprint sensor on the edge, while the volume buttons are on the left. There is no problem in its placement. There is no problem in reaching them even using the phone with one hand. There are also no complaints about the position of the fingerprint scanner and it unlocks the phone very quickly. The size of the screen is such that there is no problem in using the phone with one hand.

The SIM tray is placed on the left side, just above the volume buttons. It has three slots: two for Nano SIM and one for microSD card. The bottom has the 3.5mm headphone jack, main microphone, speaker, and USB Type-C port. The thickness of the Realme 6i is 8.9mm and it packs a 4,300mAh battery like the Realme 6. However, it doesn’t come with a 30W bundled charger like the Realme 6. You’ll get a 20W charger.

There is a pod-shaped camera module on the back. Which has become the identity of the Realme smartphone. This setup is a bit bumpy, but the metal trim on the edge will keep the camera lens safe. Realme 6i has a 48-megapixel main camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera, a 2-megapixel portrait camera, and a 2-megapixel macro camera.

MediaTek Helio G90T processor has also been included in Realme 6. This is a very powerful processor. During the Realme 6 test, I liked its performance. Reality 6i will get either 4GB or 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage with the Helio G90T. Storage can be expanded up to 256 GB via a dedicated microSD card slot. Realme has priced the starter variant of this phone at Rs 12,999 and the top model at Rs 14,999.

Realme 6i out of the box comes with Realme UI 1.0 based on Android 10. In our review unit, the company has delivered the June security patch. Many unwanted apps were already present on the phone. I never felt any lag in the short time I spent with the smartphone. But we will discuss this in detail during the review.

In my opinion, Realme has brought Realme 6i to the market at the right time. It is very similar to the Realme 6, which would be considered a plus. The specifications are a bit weak. But the price has also gone down. It seems that Realme 6i will appeal to those who are looking for performance on a budget. Should it be your first choice? For this, stay tuned to Gadgets 360 Hindi. We will be coming soon with the detailed Realme 6i review.
