Reliance Jio Launches 5G Service in Haridwar, Company Network Reaches 226 Cities

The country’s largest telecom company Reliance Jio has started its 5G services in Haridwar. With this, this company service has reached 226 cities in the country. Reliance Jio said that the company’s users in Haridwar will be invited to use unlimited data up to a speed of 1 Gbps+ at no additional cost.

Haridwar is the second city in Uttarakhand after Dehradun where the company’s 5G services have been launched. Chief Minister of State Pushkar Singh Dhami said, “It is with great pleasure that Reliance Jio has started this service in Haridwar after Dehradun. Along with this, apart from the people of Haridwar, pilgrims coming from the country and abroad will also benefit from this service “It will be useful.”

Bharti Airtel and Reliance Jio, two big companies in the telecom sector, have set themselves the goal of converting 150 million mobile phone users to 5G by March next year. Both companies are increasing their 5G coverage. The rate for this high-speed service may also be increased. Executives and analysts associated with the telecommunications industry say the upcoming fiscal year will bring a big change for telcos. In addition to increasing the reach of their 5G service, these companies will also focus on improving their network.

These companies can invest Rs 1.5 lakh crore in the next financial year. In the last three years, some companies have exited the indebted sector. Late last year, Telecom Secretary K Rajaraman said: “This year has been exciting because of 5G. This is a big step forward. We are looking forward to the rapid expansion of 5G next year.” He said that the government will continue to take measures to reduce the operating cost of telecom operators. Reliance Jio and Bharti Airtel jointly added around 2.5 million mobile subscribers in November last year. Vodafone Idea, which is facing financial difficulties, has lost around 18.3 lakh subscribers. Reliance Jio further strengthened its position by adding 14.26 lakh subscribers. Airtel has added 10.56 lakh subscribers.
