The Department for the Promotion of Domestic Industry and Trade (DPIIT) has reviewed the progress of social sector ministries in adopting the PM Gatishakti National Master Plan (NMP). An official statement said on Saturday that at the review meeting, DPIIT noted the importance of adopting NMP. The department emphasized the transformative role it can play in the integrated planning and implementation of infrastructure and social sector projects.
The Ministry of Trade and Industry said that a holistic approach is being taken for better decision-making and projects such as comprehensive mapping of schools, hospitals, services and public services. According to the statement, social sector ministries/departments should adopt PM Gati Shakti NMP for better utilization of their assets and overall development across the country. The meeting was attended by 35 senior officials from 14 ministries including Panchayati Raj, Health and Family Welfare, Posts, Primary Education and Literacy, Higher Education, Culture and Housing and Urban Affairs.
