Samsung Galaxy S23 series launched in India at this price, equipped with 200MP camera, 12GB RAM

The company launched the Samsung Galaxy S23 series on Wednesday. The new Samsung Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+ and Galaxy S23 Ultra smartphones were launched at the Galaxy Unpacked event. The latest flagship phone comes with a specially optimized version of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC and Dynamic AMOLED 2X display. The Galaxy S23 series is the first series of smartphones to come with Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection. The Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23+ feature a similar triple rear camera setup, while the Galaxy S23 Ultra smartphone, the more premium model of the range, it has a 200-megapixel quad rear camera system.

Samsung claims that the new models offer better ‘Night Photography’ capabilities than the Galaxy S22 series. Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra comes with S Pen support like its previous model. All three models come with a 120Hz refresh rate and 12-megapixel selfie cameras. They come with One UI 5.1 and are IP68 rated for dust and water resistance.

The 8GB + 128GB storage variant of the Samsung Galaxy S23 is priced at Rs 74,999. While its 8GB + 256GB storage variant was introduced for Rs 79,999. Phantom can be purchased in the colors Black, Cream, Green and Lavender. The price of the Samsung Galaxy S23+ 8GB + 256GB storage variant is Rs 94,999. While its 8GB + 512GB storage variant was introduced for Rs 1,04,999. Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra is the top model in this whose 12GB + 256GB storage variant was introduced for Rs 1,24,999. While its 12GB + 512GB variant has been said for Rs 1,34,999. The top version with 12GB + 1TB storage was introduced for Rs 1,54,999. Variants of the lineup will be available in Phantom Black, Cream, Green, and Lavender colors exclusively on the company’s official website.

The Samsung Galaxy S23 series smartphones will be available from February 17. Pre-bookings for the lineup in India are said to start on February 2.

Samsung Galaxy S23 Specifications

The Samsung Galaxy S23 runs One UI 5.1 based on Android 13 and features a 6.1-inch Full-HD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a 120Hz refresh rate. This refresh rate can go up to 48Hz. The display is equipped with Vision Booster feature and has Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection. You get 240Hz touch sampling rate in gaming mode. Samsung Galaxy S23 sports a triple rear camera setup that includes a 50-megapixel main wide-angle sensor with f/1.8 aperture lens, 85-degree field of view, and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera with f/2.2 aperture and a 10-megapixel telephoto camera with 120-degree field of view and f/2.4 aperture lens, including 3x optical zoom. The Samsung Galaxy S23+ has many similar features to the standard Galaxy S23. It also runs on One UI 5.1 based on Android 13. However, it features a larger 6.6-inch full-HD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display. Display features like refresh rate and vision boost are the same as the S23. In this the protection of Gorilla Glass Victus 2 was also given. Galaxy S23+ also runs on Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC.

The rear and front camera systems of the Galaxy S23+ are also similar to those of the Galaxy S23.

The Galaxy S23+ packs a 4,700mAh battery that supports 45W wired charging. Samsung claims it can charge up to 65 percent in less than 30 minutes. The phone supports Fast Wireless Charging 2.0, which is equipped with 15W charging speeds, and supports Wireless PowerShare for reverse wireless charging. It measures 76.2×157.8×7.6 mm and weighs 196 grams.

Like last year’s lineup, the Samsung Galaxy 23 Ultra is the most premium smartphone in the new lineup. It runs One UI 5.1 and features a 6.8-inch Edge QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with 1-120Hz dynamic refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate in gaming mode. Like the other two models, the phone comes with a custom variant of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, along with up to 12GB of RAM.

The Galaxy S23 Ultra has a quad rear camera setup, including a 200-megapixel main wide camera with an f/1.8 lens and an 85-degree field of view. Additionally, the setup includes a 12-megapixel ultra-wide shooter with f/2.2 aperture and 120-degree field of view, a 10-megapixel telephoto shooter with f/2.4 aperture lens and 3x optical zoom support and 10x optical zoom A 10-megapixel telephoto lens is included.
