A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed on Thursday between the Ministry of Cooperation, Ministry of Information Technology, NABARD and CSC e-Governance Services India Limited. According to an official statement, the MoU was signed in the presence of Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah and Union Electronics and Information Technology Minister Ashwini Vaishnav.

Shah said that under the MoU, Primary Agricultural Credit Societies could now function as Common Service Centers (CSCs). This includes services related to banking, insurance, Aadhaar registration/update, legal services, agricultural equipment, PAN card, as well as IRCTC, train, bus and plane tickets.
