State Bank of India (SBI) reported 68.5% year-on-year growth in net profit for the October-December quarter of fiscal 2023 (Q3FY23). The bank reported a standalone net profit of Rs 14,205 crore in Q3 2023, the highest in a quarter compared to net profit of Rs 8,432 crore in Q3 2022.

The government has asked Vodafone Idea to convert the AGR shares of Rs 16,133 crore into equity shares. The Ministry of Communications has ordered the company to issue 1,613.31 crore equity shares of Rs 10 par value each at an issue price of Rs 10 each. The government had approved an order on February 3 to convert AGR’s quotas into shares.

ITC profit rose 21 per cent to Rs 5031 crore in the December quarter. Revenue rose 2.3 per cent to Rs 16,226 crore. ITC made a total profit of Rs 5,070.09 crore in 9 months of this fiscal year. ITC’s operating income rose to Rs 19,020.65 crore from Rs 18,365.80 crore in the prior-year quarter. The company’s total expenses fell by 3.29 per cent to Rs 12,772.27 crore.
