After that, for the first time, the Modi government announced financial assistance to Afghanistan in the Union Budget. That trend continues this time as well. Taliban spokesman Suhail Shaheen said: “We welcome India’s support for Afghanistan. This will strengthen the bond between the two countries.”

India has built some infrastructure in all 34 provinces of Afghanistan. Several projects are still in hand. But naturally, since the country was taken over by the Taliban, those projects could not be completed. But the Taliban recently said that India can start working on completing at least 20 of its unfinished projects in Afghanistan. Even today, that topic has been heard from the mouths of the Taliban. They said that if India starts the unfinished construction work, the bond between the two countries will be stronger.
Last year, in August 2021, the Indian delegation was evacuated from the embassy in Kabul shortly after it was captured by the Taliban. But then India sent a new delegation to Kabul last June. Embassy of India in that country. Later in August, the Afghan Foreign Ministry said that India’s diplomatic presence in the country was renewed. Now let them complete the unfinished projects. This time the same was heard from the Taliban. However, New Delhi has not ruled on the matter so far.
