Design and visualization of Tecno Spark 8T
Tecno has packed the Spark 8T into a decent box. The placement of the smartphone, transparent cover, charger and charging cable has been done well in the medium-sized box. Like other brands, TECNO also doesn’t offer headphones in the box.
We have received the ‘Atlantic Blue’ variant of the Tecno Spark 8T for your review. The rear of the phone follows a balanced design. It has a large square camera module at the top, where the dual rear cameras, flashlight, and fingerprint sensor are placed. After this, it looks at the strip given from top to bottom, where the brand of the phone is. It has been sported with a matte finish, while the rest of the bodywork sports a glossy finish.
The power button and volume rocker are in the center of the device. Opposite is the SIM tray, which houses two SIMs and a microSD card slot. The single speaker grill, 3.5mm headphone jack, and charging port are provided at the bottom, though the charging port is not Type-C.
Tecno Spark 8T has a 6.6-inch IPS LCD screen. It offers Full HD Plus resolution with 1080 x 2408 pixels. The screen is notch-style in the form of a drop of water, whose bezels are thin. The screen chin is also not thick. This reduces the screen-to-body ratio and the screen emerges. We liked the color contrast of the screen. The shine is also fast. Although the screen does not shine as bright outdoors and in bright sunlight. Despite this, having Full HD resolution is fun during videos, movies, and light gaming. The sound from the speaker grill is average. Dual stereo speakers should not be expected at this price.
Tecno Spark 8T Performance and User Interface
Tecno Spark 8T is powered by MediaTek Helio G35 processor. It has been equipped with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage. Devices like the Realme C21, Redmi 9 Active, and Oppo A54S also come with this processor. The performance of Tecno Spark 8T is decent. With 4GB of RAM, browsing and multitasking on social media apps runs smoothly. There was no problem even to open 5-8 windows simultaneously in chrome browser. Even if 5-6 apps keep running in the background, the phone doesn’t get tired. But in heavy use, there are definitely lags. Heavy gaming cannot be done on this phone either. Cheerful games like ‘Ludo King’ will be able to play with fun.
The device runs on Android 11 operating system with layered Tecno’s custom HiOS user interface. This isn’t a device for those who want the feel of pure Android, as the HiOS UI makes the phone very much its own. Small features are also attached with this user interface. Some of them we also liked. For example, with the help of the HiParty feature, many devices can connect and play music. With the help of the Audio Share feature, audio can be sent to 2-3 Bluetooth devices simultaneously. With the SoPlay feature, you can create your own sound library and create your own music and add it to your recordings.
Tecno Spark 8T Battery
As much as the Tecno Spark 8T impresses with its battery performance, it’s even more disappointing with its charging. The phone has a 5000 mAh battery. He continues for 2 days without getting tired. Even if you are a heavy user, you will not need to charge it for a day and a half. To charge this large battery, only a 10-watt charger is available. It takes more than two and a half hours to fill the battery. The Type-C port is the current demand, but it is also not available on this phone.
How are the cameras of the Tecno Spark 8T?
Tecno Spark 8T has a total of three cameras. There is a dual camera setup at the back. The 50-megapixel main sensor here is a big strength of this phone and its cameras. In AI camera mode, the phone takes photos with a resolution of 12 megapixels. This is the default setting in the camera app. For 50MP resolution, the ‘Ultra Mode’ option should be selected. After this, good details come out in the clicked images. We got good color and contrast in the shots taken during the day.

An AI lens is supported by the 50MP camera, providing good portrait photos. There is also a beauty mode, which will appeal to those who do not want a single blemish on their face. Features like slow motion, time lapse are also available. This is for those who do more creativity with the camera. The camera struggles a bit in low-light settings, and images are noisy. There is also no dedicated night mode. Although the photo can be taken in the dark by turning on the camera’s flash, it is not capable of capturing the entire environment.

Videos can be recorded up to Full HD resolution, which we found to be average. Tecno Spark 8T has an 8-megapixel selfie camera. It’s not great, but it’s average. Good selfies are clicked with beauty mode. In photo mode, the camera takes photos as you see them. There’s nothing flashy, which is good. Selfie came in portrait mode. On a few occasions, the camera had issues with edge detection.
What should you buy Tecno Spark 8T
Before we make this decision, let’s talk about another feature of the phone. Its fingerprint sensor unlocks the phone quickly. Face unlock is also fast. For Rs 8999, Tecno Spark 8T impresses with its 50MP camera, 5000mAh battery, FHD+ resolution display. The layout is decent. The phone is also not very heavy. The device is good for online studies and watching movies and videos. Camera performance is above average. If you want something different from Reality-Xiaomi, then you will also like its user interface. In terms of price, the Tecno Spark 8T can be a good deal.
