Tecno will soon launch the first foldable smartphone from left to right Phantom V

Chinese smartphone company Tecno is gearing up to launch its first foldable smartphone Phantom V Fold. The company has said that it will launch at MWC later this month. This will be the first foldable smartphone from left to right. The company’s Tecno series includes high-end smartphones.

Phantom V Fold will have MediaTek’s SoC Dimensity 9000+ processor. “With the Phantom V Fold, we are about to achieve another milestone. It is the first foldable smartphone from left to right,” said Jack Guo, general manager of Tecno. With this smartphone, the company has also carried forward its partnership with MediaTek. “This chip will allow Tecno to launch the Phantom V Fold with a powerful experience,” said Finbarr Moynihan, Vice President of MediaTek.

The rear of this smartphone is equipped with three cameras. The Phantom Vision V foldable phone that was recently shown as a concept shares the same camera sensor design. There is an LED flash module on the side of the camera lens. The Tecno Phantom V Fold sports an external screen with a perforated cutout at the top center. The company has not given information about the size of the screen. The smartphone looks a lot like the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold in that the screen is a bit taller but not as wide.

This foldable smartphone from the company is likely to launch in India as well. In the recently leaked live image, this foldable phone is seen in a protective case. Although the design of the phone is hidden by the protective case, the location of the camera sensor is visible in it. The company recently launched the Tecno Pop 7 Pro smartphone in Africa. In terms of design and specifications, the Tecno Pop 7 Pro appears to be a rebranded version of the company’s already existing 2023 Tecno Spark Go. The Tecno Pop 7 Pro has a 6.56-inch HD+ IPS screen, which has a resolution of 720×1612 pixels. Its touch sampling rate is 120Hz and 20:9 aspect ratio. It has a 13-megapixel main camera with f/1.85 aperture and AI lens. It has a 5-megapixel selfie camera on the front.
