Thane: Maharashtra’s Navi Mumbai Police arrested two people and claimed to have recovered stolen goods worth Rs 9.57 lakh from their homes. With this, the police claimed to have solved eight robbery cases. Deputy Police Commissioner (Zone I Resident) Vivek Pansare told reporters on Tuesday that the police investigation team worked on several leads.

He said that images from 90 CCTV cameras from Koparkhairan, Ghansoli and Bonakonde villages of Navi Mumbai were scanned during this period. After which it became a huge success.

Stolen items worth Rs 9.57 lakh were recovered from defendants named Ankush Dhaage (36) and Bablu Bengali (30), it said. Dhaage works as a driver. The officer said that these cases that came to light were registered at the Koparkhairan Police Station. Police are investigating further. (agency)
