95 buyers from 17 countries will participate in the three-day Rajasthan International Expo starting March 20 in Jodhpur. Industries Minister Shakuntala Rawat said Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot will formally open the exhibition on March 21. The Rajasthan International Expo has been conceptualized with the aim of providing an opportunity for the state’s cottage industry to showcase its impact globally, Rawat told reporters here on Saturday.
Rajasthan Small Industries Corporation Limited (Rajasico) and Rajasthan Export Promotion Council Chairman Rajeev Arora informed that the international expo will attract 95 buyers mainly from 17 countries including US, UK, Russia, Arabia Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Sweden and Thailand. In addition, 234 Indian buyers will also take part in the expo. He informed that 145 exhibitors from cities like Jaipur, Jodhpur, Udaipur, Kota, Barmer, Ajmer, Bhilwara, Jaisalmer, Alwar, Churu, etc. will participate in the expo. These exhibitors belong to sectors such as crafts, textiles, agriculture and food, metallurgy, leather, carpets, gems and jewelry.
