Digital Desk, Washington. The United States and Germany will send armored fighting vehicles to Ukraine to reinforce Kyiv in its ongoing war with Russia. The White House has announced it. The announcement was made in a statement on Thursday over a telephone conversation between US President Joe Biden and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, the Xinhua news agency reported.

During the call, Biden expressed his intention to supply Ukraine with Bradley infantry fighting vehicles, tracked armored fighting vehicles used to transport troops to the battlefield.

Scholz, for his part, said that Germany is ready to provide Ukraine with Marder infantry fighting vehicles. The United States and Germany will train Ukrainian forces on how to operate the vehicles to be delivered to Ukraine.

In addition, Berlin will join Washington in providing Kyiv with another battery of Patriot surface-to-air missiles to bolster Ukraine’s air defense capabilities.
