A baby and its grandparents were killed and two other children were injured in a house explosion in the US state of South Dakota. The South Dakota State Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the incident and determining the cause of the fire. Stanley County Sheriff Brad Rathban said the explosion occurred around 10:20 a.m. Wednesday at a home about 11 miles southwest of Fort Pierre. The sheriff said six-month-old Harper Hupp and her grandmother LaDonna Hupp, 61, died at the scene, while William Hupp, 66, died at a hospital.

Two children, five-year-old Miles and three-year-old Royce, were seriously injured in the crash and were admitted to a Minnesota hospital. The boys’ parents, Kelsey and Trevor Hupp, were at work at the time of the accident. Rathban said that residents in the rural area heard the explosion and informed the authorities.
