Bodies are continually being removed from the rubble of collapsed houses in the affected area. Authorities say the number of people who died due to the quake here may rise further. The rescue work is in full swing.
Most of the devastation caused by the earthquake occurred in Turkey. So far, 16,170 people have died in Turkey. Whereas, the number of injured is more than 35 thousand. So far, more than 28,000 people have been rescued here. At the same time, there has been a huge loss in Syria. So far 3,162 people have died from the earthquake here and more than 4,000 have been injured. According to local media, 3 lakh people have been forced to leave their homes in Syria.

More than 70 countries around the world, including the WHO and the UN, have offered to help after the massive devastation caused by the earthquake. At the same time, there is anger among the people of Turkey for not receiving help on time. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has also accepted this fact.
