Turkiye-Syria earthquake: The Turkiye Justice Officer arrested more than 130 people involved in allegedly shoddy and poorly constructed buildings. It is alleged that they used illegal methods to construct the building.
Six days after a devastating earthquake struck Turkey and Syria, thousands of buildings collapsed like a deck of cards. The death toll from the 7.8 and 7.5 magnitude quakes rose to 33,179 on Sunday (February 12) and rescue teams continued to search for people buried under rubble.
More than 10 thousand buildings have fallen

On the other hand, Turkish Justice Minister Bekir Bozdag said on Sunday (February 12) that some 130 people have been arrested, who are responsible for adopting an incorrect method in building construction. After arresting them, an investigation will be made. More than 10,000 buildings have collapsed in Turkey and many buildings are in such a dilapidated state.
blame the wrong build
There has been a strong earthquake in Turkey. Meanwhile, victims, experts and people across Turkey are also blaming the wrong construction for increasing the devastation. Turkey’s building codes currently meet earthquake engineering standards, but they are nowhere to be seen in reality. They are almost never implemented. Thousands of buildings collapsed in the earthquake. Those facing construction investigations include two men arrested in Gaziantep province on suspicion of cutting pillars to make room for a building that collapsed in the quake.
At the same time, Turkey’s private DHA news agency and other outlets reported that Istanbul airport authorities on Sunday (February 12) detained two contractors responsible for destroying several buildings in Adiyaman.These individuals were attempting to flee to Georgia.
