Shehbaz Sharif, Prime Minister of Pakistan
New Delhi. Although Pakistan is a neighbor of India, but due to its terrorist activities, the relations between the two countries have become very tense. Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, who is fighting poverty at the moment, recently expressed his desire to normalize relations with India. On this, the Government of India said on Friday that if there are any issues between India and Pakistan, they should be resolved bilaterally in an atmosphere free of terrorism and violence. The government said it is Pakistan’s responsibility to create such an enabling environment. Unless that step is taken from Pakistan, talks with him are not possible.
State Minister for External Affairs V Muraleedharan said in a written reply to a question in Lok Sabha that the Prime Minister of Pakistan has reportedly said that his message to India is to hold talks. “Similarly, the spokesperson of the Pakistani Prime Minister’s Office has reiterated several preconditions for holding talks with India,” the minister said. Muraleedharan said India’s wish is to have normal neighborly relations with Pakistan. And the stance India’s constant on this issue is that if there is any problem between India and Pakistan, it should be resolved bilaterally and peacefully in an environment free from terrorism and violence. He said: “Pakistan has a responsibility not to allow any territory under its occupation to be use for cross-border terrorism against India and to create such an enabling environment by taking genuine and verifiable measures”.
Pakistan is the source of terrorists
Although Pakistan talks of maintaining normal relations with India, its terrorist activities have not been reduced. Weapons, explosives and narcotics are often smuggled via Pakistani drones into border areas from Jammu and Kashmir to Punjab. BSF has shot down many Pakistani drones in the last year. Despite this, his actions do not diminish. Nor does he give up on infiltrating terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir. Apart from this, it gives refuge to PoK terrorists to other areas of Pakistan. In addition to giving terrorists a free hand to use their land, it also provides them with weapons and money. In such a situation, it is difficult for India’s relations with Pakistan to be normal.
