ODOP has become the cornerstone of self-sufficient India: CM Yogi

Addressing the session, CM Yogi said that the state’s micro, small and medium-sized enterprises have the largest base in the country. There are around 98 lakh MSME units in the state but all these units were neglected before the year 2017 and were dying. In such a situation, people were migrating shutting it down. On this, the Bharatiya Janata Party, with the aim of reviving it in the year 2016, was given special priority by the then state manager Amit Shah in the public welfare resolution letter dedicated to the public. On the other hand, in the year 2017, when the BJP government was formed in the state, the dual-engine government came up with a scheme, One District One Product, which has become the cornerstone of self-sufficient India today. Not only here, ODOP has become a popular scheme of the state, which has managed to almost double the state’s exports.

Employment provided in MSME unit

CM Yogi said that all the people in the state were concerned about the fact that workers and laborers were coming to the state on a large scale during the Corona period. At that time, 40 lakh laborers and laborers from different states of the country came to the state. Faced with such a situation, the operators of the state MSME units and many organizations went ahead and began to work together with the government, as a result of which their skills mapping was carried out and one or two people were employed in one or the other MSME unit.

MSMEs can play an important role in giving a new dimension to the country

CM Yogi said that the group of MSMEs in different areas of the state are attracting people towards investment globally by carrying forward the visionary agenda of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The State MSME unit can play an effective role in the form of a cooperative movement to give a new dimension to the country. All of us have gathered here to discuss these issues. On the other hand, this session can play an important role in the World Investors Summit to decide that MSMEs and Cooperatives can play an important role in realizing the vision of a self-sufficient India.
