hyderabad: In the Mahbubabad district of Telangana, the incident of stone-throwing by unknown persons on the Vande Bharat Express running from Secunderabad to Visakhapatnam came to light on Friday. Railway officials gave this information.
He said that the Railway Protection Force (RPF) has become aware of the matter and the investigation is underway. On the issue of damage to the Vande Bharat Express or broken window panes, officials told PTI: “It (the damage) will be assessed when the train reaches Visakhapatnam.”

Authorities said based on the preliminary investigation that some children are suspected of throwing rocks at the train, but the investigation is ongoing. An official said the matter is being investigated and a case suo motu has been registered by the Railway Police.
Significantly, even before the official launch of Vande Bharat last month, stones were thrown at the carriages of this train at the rail yard in Visakhapatnam, shattering a window glass. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had marked this train through a digital medium on January 15. (agency)
