Nagpur. Hudkeshwar Police have arrested a car thief who stole a sports bike in the area of the police station a few days ago. He confessed to having carried out 6 incidents of vehicle theft. The arrested defendant was said to be Ansh Nitin Gajbe (20), a resident of Dattatraya Nagar.
On March 17, Jawahar Nagar resident Praful Ramakrishna Thakre (57) parked his bicycle in front of his house. His vehicle was stolen in broad daylight. The police registered the case and began the investigation. The police found out about Ansh through CCTV camera footage and information. In interrogation after his arrest, he confessed to stealing Praful’s vehicle.
Court approved PCR. In further investigation, Ansh gave information about 1 more vehicle being stolen in Hudkeshwar Police Station area. Apart from this, carjacking was also accepted in the New Kamathi, Koradi, Pardi and Beltarodi police station areas. So far, 6 vehicles have been seized. Inspector Jagvendra Rajput, Vikrant Sagne, PSI Pramod Khandar, Prashant Raut, Police Chief Manoj Neware, Sharad Chavan, Prashant Kodape, Dinesh Gadekar, Vijay Sinha, Rahul Ingole and Mangesh Madavi took action.
