The Department of Meteorology (IMD) has issued an alert for avalanches in the higher mountainous areas and rain in the lower plains today (04 February). Fog is still seen in many places in the morning and at night.
There isn’t much hope that the weather will change on the plains for the next ten days. However, there may be light rain in some places. There will be no rapid rise in minimum temperature. Other than this, there is a possibility of light to moderate rainfall in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Kerala.
Avalanche in mountainous areas
On the last day of the Meteorological Department, an Avalanche Alert (Weather Update) was issued in the areas of Chamoli, Pithoragarh, Rudraprayag, Uttarkashi districts of Uttarakhand with a height of 3 thousand meters. It is estimated that an avalanche can occur here at any time due to heavy snowfall. At the same time, continuous snowfall continues in Himachal and Jammu and Kashmir. A rain alert has also been issued for Himachal today (February 4).
Weather conditions in the capital
Talking about the weather of the capital of the country, Delhi (Delhi Weather), now the winter season has started to bid farewell from here. Skies are expected to remain clear for the next week. However, a slight chill will be seen in the middle due to strong winds. A rise in temperature is also expected in Uttar Pradesh, which is adjacent to Delhi, but due to the fog, people may still face some problems.
Where will it rain?
Actually, the depression formed in the Bay of Bengal is moving towards the Comorin area and the Gulf of Mannar through Sri Lanka. Its effect will be seen in the southern parts of Tamil Nadu and Kerala. Due to this, showers are expected in Tamil Nadu and Kerala for the next 24 hours. Light showers may also occur on the southern Andaman and Nicobar islands.
