Will Indian Navigation Satellite Compete With Google Location? How different will the installation of Google Maps be?

,

Technological news desk – If we have to go somewhere and we don’t know the way, then our first step is to Google Maps. It works on GPS. But it is a matter of joy that from May 29 India will have its own navigation satellite. Yes, Indian Space Research Organization i.e. ISRO will launch its NVS-01 Navigation Satellite (NavIC) on the coming 29th. It is part of India’s NavIC Navigation series which is used for tracking of location. It has been learned that the 2,232 kg GSLV satellite will take off from the Satish Dhawan Space Center in Sriharikota on May 29. Today we will tell you about all the important things related to him. We will also learn how NavIC differs from the free navigation apps offered by Google.

What is NavIC?
The full name of NavIC is Navigation with Indian Constellation, developed by ISRO. It is a group of seven satellites that orbit the Earth. Let’s know about it.

Why is NavIC special for India?
Since we already know that we use Google Maps to go somewhere, if we are iPhone users then Apple Map can also be an option. But did you know that all these features work on GPS? The Global Positioning System or GPS service is currently available for free due to the satellites launched by the US into Earth orbit. But with the launch of the Navik series satellite, India will have its own navigation satellite, that is, we will not have to depend on the satellite of America or any other country.

These neighboring countries will also benefit
ISRO believes that the NavIC navigation system is very strong. Most importantly, apart from India, other countries will also benefit from this. It is said to navigate in the exact location in an area of about 1500 km. Since it provides coverage over such a large area, it will help in pinpointing the exact location of neighboring countries other than India.

Apart from India, these countries also have navigation system.
The saying that first thing is late fits perfectly in India, because India may have taken some time but it presented itself to the world with better technology. Do you know that apart from India, America, Russia, Europe and China also have their own navigation system? While the US navigation system is called GPS, Russia’s navigation is called GLONASS, China’s navigation is called BeiDou, and Europe’s Galileo navigation system.

What is special about NavIC?
A total of 7 satellites have been installed in the NAVIC navigation system, which rotate in Earth orbit.
All these satellites are in a straight line with India, the reason for this is that it is a regional navigation system that works for India and some neighboring countries.
These satellites take 23 hours, 56 minutes and 4 seconds to complete one orbit around the Earth.
The NAVIC navigation satellite also has three rubidium atomic clocks, which accurately calculate distance, time and our position on Earth.
