Windows 11 launch event schedules, live stream details
Microsoft is hosting a virtual launch event for the launch of Windows 11, starting today at 11 a.m. ET (8:30 p.m. ET). The event will be broadcast live online via the Windows Event web page.
Windows 11 features (expected)
Microsoft has yet to publicly confirm the name of Windows 11, but the company has been teasing it as a “new version of Windows” for the past few days. The official invitation hints at the nickname through the shadow of the window where the outline of the number 11 can be seen. Recently, Microsoft released a teaser video featuring the startup sound of the new version of Windows. The video lasted for 11 minutes, which suggests that it could be Windows 11. Apart from this, the ISO leaks also indicate that Windows 11 may be presented as a successor to Windows 10.
As for the features, the leaked version indicates that Windows 11 will come with a redesigned treatment that will start with your start screen and continue with the desktop. This will also give the start menu located in the new center. Its general interface will look very similar to Windows 10X that Microsoft introduced in 2019 with dual-screen devices, but it was discontinued earlier this year.
In addition to the new changes at the interface level, Windows 11 will have new sounds. The enhanced multitasking experience will also be available through the new split view option. Also, Windows 11 may come with an improved Microsoft Store.
After the announcement of Windows 11, it may be available for Windows 10 users. However, recent reports indicate that the new Windows will be available for free upgrade for Windows 7 and Windows 8 users.
