Yamaha launches updated FZ-X, R15 V4 and MT-15 V2 motorcycles in India

Yamaha, one of the leading two-wheeler companies, has updated its range of motorcycles in India. The company has added the traction control system to its motorcycle portfolio. Apart from this, some new features have been added to the FZ-X, FZ-S, R15 and MT 15. The FZS-Fi V4 model will have a new headlight design and LED turn signals. There will also be a Bluetooth-enabled Y-Connect app.

In addition to the traction control system, the Yamaha FZ-X features LED turn signals and a new color scheme. Both the FZS-Fi V4 Deluxe and FZ-X models have single channel ABS along with a rear disc brake. Other than this, it has been given a multi-function LCD instrument cluster, an LED headlight. Both motorcycles are powered by a 149cc single-cylinder engine, generating 12.4PS of peak power and 13.3Nm of peak torque. The company’s FZS-Fi V4 Deluxe and FZ-X motorcycles are compatible with E20 fuel. Yamaha said that by the end of this year all of its motorcycles will be compatible with E20 fuel.

All of the company’s motorcycles have been equipped with an on-board diagnostic system to monitor emissions. The R15M has a color TFT meter with gear shift indicator. Apart from this, the track and street mode selector and LED turn signals will be available. The company has also given a new paint scheme for the super sports motorcycle. The MT-15 V2 has new LED turn signals along with dual channel ABS. The MT-15 V2 Deluxe will also be available in a new Metallic Black color.

Last month, a joint venture between the country’s leading two-wheeler company Bajaj Auto and Swiss sports motorcycle brand KTM achieved the production milestone of one million KTM motorcycles. KTM motorcycles in India are manufactured at Bajaj Auto’s Chakan plant near Pune in Maharashtra. There was a partnership between Bajaj Auto and KTM about 15 years ago. Under this production started with the KTM 200 Duke about 10 years ago. Since then, the Bajaj Auto plant has become a KTM production center for 125-373cc motorcycles. A large number of these bikes are sold in India and are also exported to many countries.
